Here's how it works:
• We pull energy from the grid, just like other web hosting companies, but...
• to compensate for the power we pull, we purchase wind energy credits for the energy we consume.
• In fact we replace, with wind power, 130% the amount of energy used by the servers.
• So if we pull 1X of power from the grid, we purchase enough wind energy credits to put back into the grid 130%X of power produced by wind.
This allows customers to have a web site that is 130% green and is actually helping to make all web hosting and power systems greener, not just covering their carbon footprint, but covering other carbon foot prints as well.
